SPORTS CAMP 2024 OFF TO A SUCCESSFUL START

The first multi-sport camp of the year, the GC Sports Camp, started last week. The camp was organised in collaboration with the floorball, handball and basketball sections and was a great success.

A total of 40 children took part in the camp, which was held at the GC Basketball Section's training center "Im Birch". A different sport was offered each day, giving the children the opportunity to experience the diversity of sports. The highlight of the week was a tournament on Friday where the children had the opportunity to show off their skills.

Other highlights included a visit from GC players Asumah Abubakar, Tsiy Ndenge and Robin Kalem on Thursday and a delicious lunch provided by shorts sponsor "Feedy's" from Regensdorf. The medical team from partner JDMT provided medical care for the children.

The camp not only gave the children the opportunity to try different sports and improve their skills, but also taught them important GC values such as respect, discipline and fair play. It was a week of fun, exercise and new experiences that the children will remember for a long time to come.

Three more sports camps are planned for this year. Click here for an overview and to register.

Special thanks to our colleagues Frank Strobel (President GC Floorball), Thomas Rosser (NW Head GC Handball) and Luka Beks (NW Head GC Basketball) for their great cooperation.
