In the summer of 2016, Morandi moved from Team Ticino to the GC youth team. A little less than three years later, on the 3rd of February 2019, Giotto Morandi made his debut in the 1st team against FC Basel 1893. The Ticino native was in the starting line-up as a left winger. 1696 days later, he played his 100th game in blue and white in the derby against FCZ. The former Junghopper scored 14 goals and provided 14 assists during this time. He also proved to be extremely flexible, being used in a total of 9 different positions, but mostly in attacking midfield. In addition, Morandi was named SFL Player of the Round once.
