Four players were nominated for the 'Hopper of the Month February' presented by Synergetics. In addition to Justin Hammel, Morandi, Laws and Momoh were also up for selection. In the end, however, Justin came out on top and received the most votes from the GC fans. Head coach Bruno Berner presents his goalkeeper with the award.
Justin stood between the posts in all four February games and was the usual reliable back-up for the team. Particularly noteworthy was his brilliant save in the final minutes against Basel, when he deflected a powerful volley onto the crossbar to deny the equalizer.
This is the 23-year-old's third award in a row, following awards in December and January. Grasshopper Club Zürich congratulates Justin Hammel on winning the "Hopper of the Month February" award.
