Grasshopper Club Zurich can look back on a wonderful festival, in which the people of Zurich were brought even closer to the polysport club GC, as well as offering all GC fans a place to get together across sections. As a club as a whole, we were able to welcome many visitors, from young to old, during the three days in the heart of the city of Zurich and present the various sections in detail. Together with the sections floorball, rugby, handball and football, a successful and sportive cooperation took place.
Grasshopper Club Zurich would like to thank all the helpers from the respective sections who worked around the clock for GC during the three days and thus made it possible to hold our stand. It was a great pleasure to together be prominently represented with our colours and with pride as the largest polysport club in Switzerland at the largest public festival in Switzerland.
We would also like to thank all the visitors, guests and families who brought our stand to life and enriched it with so much joy.
Nevertheless, it has to be said that the two incidents in which the GC tent was attacked by FCZ supporters on Saturday afternoon and early Sunday morning dampen the view of the Züri Fäscht. The club condemns any form of violent acts in general, in this case especially against its fans, employees, partners and guests. Such incidents have no place in our club, in the city of Zurich and certainly not in sport - they must end immediately and we appeal to our fans to lead by example. The club is currently considering further legal action.
