Following a thorough analysis of the sporting situation, Grasshopper Club Zurich has decided to end its collaboration with head coach Bruno Berner. This decision has been taken due to the ongoing challenging sporting circumstances. The club is determined to reverse this trend and achieve a positive turnaround.
Sporting director Stephan Schwarz commented: " The decision to part company with Bruno Berner was not easy, especially on a human level. Bruno and we did everything we could to turn the club around. However, after intense discussions we decided to take this step. We would like to thank Bruno for his commitment to GC Zurich. He has been in a difficult situation since the start of the season. We appreciate his commitment to the club.
Bruno Berner adds: "The time as head coach at GC has meant a lot to me and I am grateful for the experience. I would like to thank everyone who has supported me during this time, especially the team, the staff and the fans who have always had our backs. Despite the early departure, I will have fond memories of my time at GC. I wish the team and the club all the best for the future.”
