GC ZURICH HOSTS LUGANO

The Hoppers continue their championship campaign in the 32nd round of the CSSL on Saturday, at home against FC Lugano.

Despite equalizing in the meantime and being outnumbered for the majority of the game, the Hoppers were beaten 3:2 away in Yverdon last weekend. Two Pascal Schürpf goals were not enough to take any points home from the Vaud region. As a result, the gap to Basel (6 points) and Yverdon (7 points) is growing. Next up, the Zurich team will host FC Lugano at home. This will be the first match under new head coach Marco Schällibaum, who has been appointed during the week.

Head coach Marco Schällibaum at his first press conference regarding Saturday's game: "Tactically and technically we will be ready on Saturday. But we also need passion. My job is to bringt this to the team back."

Croci-Torti's team is in impressive form. Although they only managed a 2:2 draw away at FC Winterthur last weekend, they won all of their last six league games before. This allowed the Ticino side to close the gap at the top of the table. FC Lugano are currently in third place, one point behind Servette and six points behind BSC YB.

Head coach Marco Schällibaum will be without Joshua Laws and Liam Bollati against the Ticino side. Laws was sent off with a red card in the last game and will therefore be missing due to a suspension. Bollati will also be missing due to a yellow card ban, which he picked up playing for the U21.

The game can be followed as usual on 86live via live ticker and radio. The game can also be seen on Pay TV on blue Sport.
