GC ZURICH HOSTS ST.GALLEN

After two recent away games, the Hoppers will host FC St.Gallen 1879 at home in the 28th CSSL round.

Our fans were great in our last two away games in Lausanne and Winterthur. We have experienced an enormous amount of support. Now we will do everything we can to win." Bruno Berner during the press conference.

Despite an encouraging performance, Bruno Berner's team failed to pick up any points in their away match at FC Winterthur. In the end, they lost 2:0 and remain in 10th place in the table. It is the third defeat in a row for his team. The Hoppers now want to put a halt to this negative trend and get back to winning ways against FCSG. To do so, they will need a collective team performance on Saturday evening.

Harald Gärtner on the importance of everyone standing together now: "Bruno has our full support. We are standing firmly behind our team and will give them the backing they need to show their full potential on the pitch. We thank our fans for their support. Now is the time for us all to pull together."

FC St.Gallen 1879 is currently in 5th place, just three points behind third-placed FC Lugano. The team from eastern Switzerland has stumbled slightly of late. They have picked up just four points from their last eight games, with their last full win coming at home against Stade-Lausanne (1:0). Last week, they were beaten 3-2 at home by FC Lugano. The first encounter between these two teams in Zurich ended in a 1-1 draw at the start of the season.

Head coach Bruno Berner will be without Joshua Laws for the match against St.Gallen. The defender is serving a one-match ban following his yellow card in the game against Winterthur.

The game can be followed as usual on 86live via live ticker and radio. The game can also be watched on Pay TV on blue Sport.
