"It was a great honour for me to be able to serve as President of this traditional and historic club for almost three years. I am proud to have witnessed and helped shape the club's progress over the past three years and will always cherish this experience. I am grateful to the investors for the great opportunity and the trust they have always placed in me," said Sky Sun. "The reasons that have led me to make this difficult decision are purely family related. I have realised how important it is for me to be there for my family and to see my three-year-old child grow up. It has become complicated over time to simultaneously fulfil my duties as a father and as President of this club in the same professional manner as I have been doing. Despite my departure, I would like to emphasise that the commitment and ambition of the owners remains strong and consistent. I would like to thank all the staff, players and team members for their always valuable cooperation and wish the club every success."
Until a new President is appointed, Vice-President András Gurovits, together with investor representatives who have already arrived in Zurich, will take over the role and responsibilities of Sky Sun on an interim basis. The other functions will remain unchanged and operations will continue in the usual manner.
"I would like to thank Sky for his great commitment to our club and respect his decision, which I understand very well. I have had the pleasure of working with a passionate, determined and highly respectable individual over the last three years with whom I will maintain a friendly relationship. Now I will be working closely with the owners' representatives with the aim of reaching a definitive solution and ensuring that operations continue smoothly. There are several challenges ahead, which we must and will master together," said András Gurovits.
Grasshopper Club Zurich would like to express its sincere thanks to Sky Sun for his great commitment and tireless efforts as President and fan of the club. Grasshopper Club Zurich will communicate again once the new president has been appointed.
