AWAY GAME IN GENEVA

Tomorrow, the Hoppers travel to Western Switzerland. There they are guests in Geneva for the 20th CSSL round.

Last Saturday, the Hoppers took revenge for their Cup defeat and beat FC Basel 1893 1-0 at home. The only goal came in the 94th minute, when Hayao Kawabe scored his eighth goal of the season in the current championship. Thanks to the three points, the Hoppers moved up one place and are now in 6th intermediate position. With only two points behind, they would have the chance to pass Servette on Saturday.

The Geneva team had a slow start into the new year. The first two games resulted in a draw (against Sion) and a defeat (against St.Gallen). Alain Geiger's team has now been waiting six games for a win. In the two previous duels between the two historical clubs in this season, Servette were the winners on both occasions.

For the match against Servette, head coach Giorgio Contini will have to do without Momoh Francis and Teruki Hara due to injury. However, striker Guilherme Schettine is fit and ready to play again.

The match can be followed as usual on 86live via live ticker and radio. In addition, the match can be watched for free through the livestream on Onefootball.

After the last-minute win against Basel, which we were all happy about and which was also important, we are now aiming for the next three points in the away game in Geneva. Just like against Basel, we have to perform as a team in Geneva and hope for a lot of support away from home.
