Julien Ngoy is switching with immediate effect from Stoke City to Grasshopper Club Zurich and signing a one-year loan contract. Thanks to an option to buy the player, GC has option to sign the young Belgian for the long term. In the first half of the 2017/18 season, Ngoy made six appearances for Stoke in the Premier League. In the second half of the season, he played on loan for FC Walsall in League One, where the 20-year-old scored three goals and provided one assist in 13 matches. Since March 2017, Ngoy has been part of the Belgium's U21 national team, and he has scored once in his four appearances to date.

GC Sports Director Mathias Walther said the following about signing Ngoy: "In Julien, a young offensive player who is hungry to score goals is joining our club. He is physically very strong and doesn't shy away from 1:1 situations when he's on the offensive."

Grasshopper Club Zurich looks forward to working with Julien Ngoy.
