Centre back Jean-Pierre Rhyner and Grasshopper Club Zurich have agreed to extend their contract early. Originally valid until 30 June 2019, the current contract has been extended by a further year. The 22-year-old from the city of Zurich underwent his entire grassroots training at GC, before joining the first team in July 2015. Since his return from the city Schaffhausen, where he featured in 27 matches for FC Schaffhausen on loan, the young national player has played 29 times for blue-white.
"We are delighted to have extended the contract with Jean-Pierre early. Following his return from FC Schaffhausen, Jean-Pierre immediately established himself in the starting eleven. We are convinced that he will develop further in his accustomed GC environment," said GC Sporting Director Mathias Walther.
Grasshopper Club Zurich looks forward to the further collaboration with Jean-Pierre Rhyner.
Furthermore, Nemanja Antonov and Grasshopper Club Zurich have mutually decided to terminate their contract valid until 30 June 2019 with immediate effect. The 23-year-old Serbian defender was contracted by Grasshopper Club Zurich from July 2015 and played 56 times for blue-white.
