SUPPORT FOR A NEW FOOTBALL STADIUM AND 299 NOT-FOR-PROFIT FLATS

The City Council called a press conference to provide information on the referendum on a new football stadium and 299 not-for-profit flats to be held on 25 November 2018.
On 25 November 2018 the people of Zurich will be voting on the future of the Hardturm site. The plan is to construct a new football stadium for 18,000 fans, a total of 299 not-for-profit flats and two blocks of flats with 570 units and numerous commercial spaces. The construction of the stadium and flats will be financed privately; a contribution from the city towards operating the stadium is not intended. The city of Zurich will also be paid annual building right interest in the amount of 1.2 million francs. The stadium is to be in use from the 2022/23 season.
