Grasshopper Club Zurich is pleased to present Sea-gull as its new strategic partner for the 2022/23 season. The leading Chinese mechanical wristwatch brand will support the Grasshoppers during the current season and will initially feature on the jersey of the first team.

Founded in 1955 in Tianjin, Sea-gull is the oldest watch factory in China. Thanks to more than half a century of development, it has laid a solid technical foundation and developed into the leading watchmaking enterprise group in the Chinese industry.

As part of the partnership, during the season the two parties will also launch a limited edition Grasshopper Club Zürich Sea-gull timepiece, a unique piece for the GC-fans and partners. Additionally, Sea-gull will benefit from extensive exposure on Grasshoppers’ digital channels, as well as on the LED banners in Letzigrund stadium.

"We are very pleased to gain Sea-gull as a strategic partner with a long history and tradition. Working with Sea-gull provides us with an excellent opportunity to reach and interact with fans around the world," said Andreas Schmocker, Head of Marketing at Grasshoppers.

Xu Chuangyue, President of Tianjin Seagull Watch Technology Co. added: "It’s always been a goal of ours to empower the Sea-gull brand through a global sport like football. In the future, Grasshopper Club Zürich and Sea-gull aim to combine their strengths and help the brand connect to a younger and more diverse audience. We hope that through this partnership we will encourage more Sea-gull customers to become fans and support Grasshoppers. This collaboration also reflects our vision to expand our international collaborations and establish Sea-gull as a global brand."

Sea-gull has already engaged in several collaborations in the football world. In recent years, it partnered with a number of European football clubs, including Borussia Dortmund, Inter Milan and Wolverhampton Wanderers with a few series of co-branded watches in the Chinese market.
