Grasshopper Club Zurich is delighted to announce the second new arrival this summer: Nassim Ben Khalifa is switching from FC St. Gallen 1879 back to the city on the river Limmat with immediate effect an has signed a 1-year contract with an option for an extension. In the 27-year-old forward, another experienced Hopper is returning home.

Nassim Ben Khalifa joined the senior side from the GC youth teams and played for the club from 2009 to 2010 and from 2012 to 2015. The Swiss-Tunisian dual national was most recently scoring goals for FC Lausanne-Sport and then for FC St. Gallen 1879 in the Raiffeisen Super League.

Head coacah Uli Forte is delighted about the new arrival, whom he knows well from their joint GC time: "Nassim made a considerable contribution to the success of Grasshopper Club Zurich over that period with his 124 caps and 46 scorer points. I am confident that he will also provide us with great pleasure in the coming season." Together with captain Vero Salatic, the two celebrated the 2013 cup win.

Ben Khalifa will join the team tomorrow, 6 July 2019, and be involved in the test match against FC Schaffhausen. Grasshopper Club Zurich welcomes Nassim back home and looks forward to the renewed cooperation.
