Grasshopper Club Zurich is pleased to announce that it has extended contracts with two of its young talents. Midfielder Dion Kacuri and striker Leonardo Uka, who both grew up in the youth academy of GC, have signed contracts until 2025 and 2023 respectively.

With Kacuri and Uka, GC has secured the services of two young players for the coming years who, despite their young age, already possess excellent technical skills and bring high intensity to the team.

17-year-old Dion Kacuri played 11 games with the U21s in the current season and scored one goal. In addition, the young midfielder scored two further goals in three games with the U18s. At the end of October, Kacuri celebrated his professional debut with Grasshopper Club Zurich when coach Contini substituted him for Kaly Sène against FC Sion in the last minutes of the match. Kacuri has now extended his contract with Grasshopper Club Zurich until 2025.

His 20-year-old teammate Leonardo Uka contributed to a successful first half of the season for the U21s with eight goals in 15 games. The 20-year-old striker from Uznach, who also played two games for the U19 national team of Kosovo, has now signed a contract until the summer of 2023, with an option for 12 further months.

Technical Director Seyi Olofinjana said: "We are proud that we could extend the contract with two young talents like Kacuri and Uka ahead of time. They have already proven themselves at U21 level and both have bright futures ahead of them. We are hopeful that they will develop into important players for the first team, with which they are already training regularly.”

Grasshopper Club Zurich looks forward to continuing the collaboration with Dion Kacuri and Leonardo Uka and wishes them all the best for the second half of the season.
