After the painful 0:1 defeat at the hands of BSC Young Boys, the entire club is focusing on staying in the league.

Until the 95th minute, it was 0:0 between Grasshopper Club Zurich and BSC Young Boys, who are currently top of the league. Then Sow scored the only goal of the match in the last attack. New coach Tomislav Stipić observed a fighting performance of his team: "Boys, you didn't shy away from the challenge, you stood up to the plate," was his verdict shortly after the match.

Stipić was very pleased with his team's fighting spirit and willingness to run: "Those are the basic preconditions for the coming weeks. I expect the full willingness from every one of us to give our all and have each other's back." The club had already moved on from the defeat against YB by Sunday: "We analysed the match. We're not looking to the left, not to the right and most certainly not backwards." The remaining days before the away match against FC Sion on Saturday evening will be used by the head coach for intensive training sessions and for the development of team cohesion.

For that reason, the focus of everybody in the club – from player to club management – is on doing everything in their powers to stay in the league. Therefore, the information event for interested supporters originally scheduled for tomorrow, Wednesday, evening will be moved. The familiarisation of the new coach and assumption of the vacant role of sports director require the club management's full attention. A new date will be announced as soon as possible.
