Four players were nominated for the 'Hopper of the Month January' presented by Synergetics. Alongside Justin Hammel, Momoh, Babunski and Paskotši were also up for selection. In the end, however, Justin came out on top and received the most votes from all GC fans. Synergetics CEO Ivo Braunschweiler presents the GC goalkeeper with the award.
Justin stood between the posts in all three January games and was only beaten twice. In addition to the clean sheet against FC Lugano, the GC goalkeeper impressed above all with his performance in the Zurich derby, when he made several brilliant saves to prevent the Hoppers from falling further behind at 0:1, paving the way for the comeback.
