Grasshopper Club Zürich is celebrating the premiere of the first GC shirt, which was designed in collaboration with Capelli Sport.
The blue and white home shirt comes in a classic look, with divided colours on the collar and sleeves.
With its blue and white split, the GC shirt is one of the most traditional jerseys in football and thus a football masterpiece. Under this motto, the video and the pictures of this year's presentation also take place in a historical art setting: Surrounded by various artworks, Abrashi, Ndenge, Shabani and de Carvalho wore the new shirt for the first time at the Alexander E. Räber Gallery. As Zurich's oldest gallery, it offers the perfect location for showcasing the city's oldest and most beautiful jersey.
The Comeback of the Grasshopper
As a big new feature, the GC-Grasshopper is back on the chest of the home shirt for the first time in almost 20 years. The legendary hopper is positioned in the centre of the shirt, between the GC Zurich and Capelli Sport logos.
"Für eusi Liebi" and retro print
This year again, the fan slogan "Für eusi Liebi" decorates the inner and outer neck of the home shirt. The slogan, like the rest of the printing on the back, is kept in traditional bright orange, reminiscent of the 80s. The back of the shirt is completed with the club’s name "Grasshopper Club Zürich" positioned below the player’s number.
Long-sleeved version
As worn in the photos by Tsiy Ndenge and Filipe de Carvalho, the shirt will also be available in a long-sleeved edition. This underlines the classic design with a very retro style.
Debut against Servette
The brand new home shirt will make its debut at the first championship game against Servette FC, which will take place in Zurich on Saturday, July 22, 2023.
Pre-order from tomorrow
The shirt can be pre-ordered starting tomorrow Wednesday, July 12 at 10.00 am in the GC Fanshop.
