LUGANO AS GUEST IN ZURICH

Tomorrow, Sunday, the GC men's team and the women's will play a double-header. First the men's will face Lugano, then the women's will host FC St.Gallen.

Before the national team break, the Hoppers celebrated two victories in a row (against Winterthur and Sion), which allowed them to extend the gap to the barrage place to eight points. During the break, they tested against the Challenge League team FC Wil 1900, where they were defeated 0:2. Now the championship continues with the 26th CSSL round, where FC Lugano is the guest in Zurich.

FC Lugano is currently in a strong form, since the beginning of May and the defeat against Winterthur, the Ticinese are unbeaten in the championship and in the Swiss Cup. Most recently, they drew 1-1 with Servette. They also used the national break for a friendly game, where they drew 2-2 against Como 1907 from the Italian Serie B. The previous duels in the current championship between GC Zurich and Lugano ended once in a 1-1 draw and once with a 2-1 victory for the Zurich side.

For the match against FC Lugano, head coach Giorgio Contini will still have to do without Momoh Francis due to injury. In addition, midfielder Hayao Kawabe is serving a yellow suspension. On the other hand, striker Renat Dadashov (yellow card ban) and Tsiy Ndenge (from injury) return to the squad.

The match can be followed as usual on 86live via live ticker and radio. In addition, the match can be seen on pay TV on blue Sport.
