The Hoppers are back on GC/Campus and had their first team training of the new year today. The team will travel to the training camp in Spain on Thursday, where there have been made some changes in the test matches schedule.
Head coach Giorgio Contini's squad resumed training today for their first session of the new year. Some impressions can be found in the gallery above. Next Thursday, the Hoppers will fly off to Spain, where they will spend 10 days in Jerez de la Frontera preparing intensively for the second half of the season.
Jia Boyan on the GC/Campus
Jia Boyan is also currently on GC/Campus for a few days to get to know the club, its environment and the coach and team better. The 19-year-old Chinese striker, who is currently on loan to Croatian second division side NK Dubrava Zagreb, has joined Giorgio Contini's squad for the first training session and will spend part of the preparation at the training camp in Spain before flying back to Croatia on 9 January.
Adjustments in the preparation schedule
There will be some minor changes in the Hoppers' preparation schedule. They will now test against Bochum on the 10th January and against Fortuna Düsseldorf on the 14th January. The test match against Mainz 05 is cancelled. After the training camp, the third test match on the 18th January against FC Schaffhausen remains unchanged.
