GC FACES SION

Tomorrow the second quarter of the championship starts. Grasshopper Club Zurich will face FC Sion at home in Zurich.

In the first Zurich derby of the current season, GC and FCZ drew 1-1. The Hoppers are thus still in fifth place. With a win on Saturday, they could overtake their neighbours in the table and currently fourth-placed FC Sion. The team from Valais currently has one point more on its account. The Hoppers want to get back on the winning track against Sion: "We are welcoming a good opponent in Sion. Nevertheless, we want to get back to winning ways at home and hope for great support from our fans," said Tsyi Ndenge before the match.

Sion were last beaten at home by FC Winterthur, giving the Winterthur side their first win of the current season. Otherwise, the team from Valais is playing a good season so far, beating FC Basel and FC St.Gallen 1879, among others. With Mario Balotelli, the team from Sion was able to lure a world star to Valais. The former Manchester City and Liverpool player also scored his first goal for FCS in the last match: He scored from the penalty spot in injury time.

Besides the long-term injured Hoxha, Kacuri, Moreira, Momoh and Nadjack, head coach Giorgio Contini will also have to do without Seko, Dadashov and Margreitter against FC Sion. Ayumu Seko continues to serve his red ban, Renat Dadashov received his fourth yellow card in the derby and thus has to sit out a game and Georg Margreitter is absent due to illness.

The match can be followed as usual on 86live via live ticker and radio. In addition, the match can be watched for free through the livestream on <link onefootball.com/en/match/2299322 _blank - "Link auf eine externe Seite - Grasshopper Club Zürich">Onefootball</link>.
