Grasshopper Club Zurich have signed midfielder Tsiy Ndenge. The German test player, who has been training with the Hoppers for nearly two weeks, made a positive impression and has now joined Grasshoppers on a one-year contract.
Tsiy Ndenge grew up in the youth academy of Borussia Mönchengladbach, where he played 98 official games before moving to FC Luzern in 2018. The 25-year-old defensive midfielder made 38 Super League appearances with the Central Swiss side in the last seasons. In addition, Ndenge was part of the German U19 and U20 national team squad, with whom he played nine games. After his contract with FC Luzern expired, the 1.88m tall central midfielder signed a one-year contract with Grasshoppers, with an option to extend.
"We are very happy to strengthen our team with a dynamic player like Ndenge, who brings a strong physical presence to our midfield and has already gained experience in Swiss football. He settled in quickly and will certainly help us throughout the season, strengthening our squad depth," said Head Coach Giorgio Contini.
Grasshopper Club Zurich welcome Tsiy Ndenge to Zurich and wish him all the best for the coming season.
