END OF SEASON SQUAD UPDATE

At the end of the season, the Grasshopper Club Zurich says goodbye to 9 first-team players who have not renewed their contracts with the club or are returning to their parent clubs after their loan spells.

Mateo Mati? is one of five players, along with Ermir Lenjani, Nuno da Silva, André Santos and Brayan Riascos, who will leave the club after their contracts ended.

Mati? is leaving the club after many years at Grasshopper Club Zurich. The 26-year-old goalkeeper, who went through all GC junior levels, will now look for a solution that will allow him to play more regularly. Mati? played his last game for the Grasshoppers as captain in sunday's match against BSC Young Boys.

The club also confirms that loan players Bendegúz Bolla, Bruno Jordão, Kaly Sène and Léo Bonatini will return to their parent clubs at the end of their loan spells. Hayao Kawabe and Sangbin Jeong, on the other hand, are set to stay in Zürich for 12 more months until summer 2023, as planned.

In addition, the club has been in discussion with central defender Allan Arigoni about a possible contract extension. The parties will meet again after the player's holidays and resume the conversation.
