GC FACES LUGANO

Tomorrow, Saturday, the Hoppers travel to Ticino. There they will meet FC Lugano away from home. The Zurich side will be looking to confirm their two previous victories.

After the victory in Geneva, the Hoppers were also successful in their home match against Lausanne-Sport. Thanks to the three points against Lausanne-Sport, the Zurich team overtook FC Sion in the table and is currently in seventh place. They were able to extend their lead over the barrage place to eight points.

The Ticino side are playing a successful season and are only four points behind YB and the European ranks. And the Luganesi are also doing well in the Swiss Cup. In the semi-final, they beat FC Lucerne at home on penalties and now face FC St.Gallen 1879 in the final. However, the Cup main rehearsal against the eastern Swiss, also their last championship game, was not successful. They were beaten 3:0 in St.Gallen.

Against Lugano, head coach Giorgio Contini will have to do without Florian Hoxha, Tomás Ribeiro, Georg Margreitter, Kaly Sène and Petar Pusic due to injury.  In addition, Sangbin Jeong and Dion Kacuri are also out for the match against Lugano due to injury. Bruno Jordão will return from suspension.

The match can be followed as usual on 86live via live ticker and radio. In addition, the match can be seen on PayTV on blue Sport.
