GC HOSTS BASEL

Next Sunday, FC Basel 1893 travels to Zurich. Then it comes to the traditional duel with the Hoppers.

The Hoppers also failed to secure any points in Lucerne last week. This means that they have now been defeated in each of the last four games. GC's next chance for points will come against FC Basel 1893. In the last meeting between the two teams, head coach Giorgio Contini's team was denied the full three points by a Basel-equalizer in injury time. For captain Amir Abrashi, it's clear what's needed against Basel: "Together with the fans and 100 percent commitment for GC, we want to get the next points. We know what is coming, but we will be ready".

Basel themselves are currently in second place and have won the last two championship games (against Servette and Lugano). In addition, they missed the jump into the quarterfinals of the Conference League under the week, against Marseille they lost 1-2 and were eliminated from the competition.

Against Basel, head coach Giorgio Contini will have to do without Petar Pusic (rehabilitation training) and Tomás Ribeiro (knee problems). Bendegúz Bolla and Léo Bonatini are also doubtful for the match.

The match will be broadcasted as usual on 86-Live (radio and live ticker). In addition, the match will be shown on the platforms of ELEVEN and OneFootball.
