Grasshopper Club Zürich has signed striker Sangbin Jeong. The 19-year-old South Korean arrives on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers for 18 months.
Last season, the young striker played 28 games for Suwon Samsung Bluewings in the K League 1, the highest division in South Korea. He scored six goals and contributed two assists throughout the season. In June 2021, at the age of 19, Jeong made his debut for the senior national team in the World Cup qualifier against Sri Lanka, scoring one goal. The young South Korean now joins Grasshopper Club Zurich on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers for the next 18 months.
Technical Director Seyi Olofinjana said: "With the signing of Jeong, we have acquired a young, internationally recognized talent who has great potential. We are hopeful that he will settle quickly and further strengthen our attack with his speed and already well developed qualities.
