Grasshopper Club Zürich and Aleksandar Cvetkovic have mutually agreed to terminate the contract of the 26-year-old centre-back with immediate effect.
Since joining Grasshopper Club Zürich in 2018, Cvetkovic played 103 official matches for GC in which he contributed 4 goals and one assist. As captain, the Serbian defender led the Hoppers to promotion last season. After having played just under 150 minutes in the current season of the Credit Suisse Super League, Cvetkovic and Grasshopper Club Zurich have now decided to end their cooperation.
"We are very grateful to Cvetkovic for his highly professional commitment to Grasshopper Club Zürich over the last few years. Under his leadership, we were able to achieve promotion last season. Together with Aleksandar, we have decided on this solution, which we hope will enable him to find the best path to successfully continue his career," said Technical Director Seyi Olofinjana.
