Djibril Diani is leaving Grasshopper Club Zürich to join French second division side SM Caen. The French defensive midfielder, who has signed a contract until 2024, has played more than 70 games for GC since 2018.
Diani made his competitive debut for the first team of Grasshopper Club Zurich on 3rd November 2018 in the match against BSC Young Boys. Since then, Diani scored three goals and provided six assists in 71 official matches with GC.
This season, Diani has played 17 competitive matches under coach Contini, contributing two goals and one assist. Now the 23-year-old French midfielder returns to his home country, where he will play for SM Caen.
