Grasshopper Club Zürich is pleased to announce that it has found an agreement with Dominik Schmid for the prolongation of his contract. The 23-year-old Swiss defender has signed a deal until 2024.
Dominik Schmid moved to Zurich from FC Basel 1893 in August 2020. During his first 15 months in the Limmatstadt, the versatile defender made 51 competitive appearances, in which he contributed three goals and six assists. Schmid has now extended his contract with Grasshopper Club Zürich until 2024.
"Dominik Schmid is a young talented player who has proven since joining GC how important he can be for us with his versatility and explosive style of play. We are pleased that we were able to extend his contract and plan with him in the long term," said Technical Director Seyi Olofinjana.
