START OF TRAINING & COACHING STAFF & COMPLETION

The Grasshopper Club Zurich's squad has begun training for the upcoming season and is introducing new members to the coaching staff. Additionally, several players have been released from the first-team squad.

Following the performance diagnostics at the start of training on Tuesday, the Grasshoppers will begin their first team training session today with new additions to the coaching staff. The entire squad will take part, except for Amir Abrashi, Maksim Paskotsi, and Kristers Tobers who are on international duty.

Giuseppe Morello appointed assistant coach

Giuseppe Morello has joined head coach Marco Schällibaum's staff with immediate effect. The 38-year-old arrives from BSC Young Boys, where he spent the last two years as the first-team assistant coach. Prior to that, he was coaching youth teams at FC Basel and the Swiss Football Association.

Jörg Mikoleit new athletics coach

The 51-year-old was most recently an athletics coach at 1860 Munich. The 51-year-old was most recently an athletics coach at 1860 Munich. Mikoleit began his career at FC Schalke 04 before spending many years at FC Ingolstadt 04.

The appointments of Giuseppe Morello and Jörg Mikoleit complete the coaching staff for the upcoming season. Michael Lindemann, most recently assistant coach, and Manuel Fässler, most recently athletics coach, have left the club to pursue new challenges. The Grasshopper Club Zurich would like to thank them for their commitment to the club and wishes them all the best for their personal and professional futures.
