Before the national team break, head coach Tomas Oral's team drew 1:1 with FC Sion. However, as Yverdon Sport won their game away against Servette, they are now four points behind YS. The Grasshoppers will have the opportunity to reduce this gap next Sunday, when it will be derby time in Zurich for the third time this season.
FCZ are currently in sixth and therefore last place in the Championship Group. Before the international break, FCZ celebrated a 3:2 win at home against FC Luzern. FCZ have never shared the points since the draw against Grasshoppers last November. The last twelve CSSL matches have resulted in five wins and seven defeats.
Against FCZ, Tomas Oral can once again count on the services of Decarli, Hammel, Seko and Abrashi - all of whom are returning from suspension.
