GC ZURICH BEFORE THE GAME ON THE SCHÜTZENWIESE

After the away win in Wankdorf, the Grasshoppers continue with their next away game. In the 9th CSSL round, they will host FC Winterthur at Schützenwiese.

Zurich's last win in Bern came in April 2017, with Munas Dabbur the scorer at the time. Now, seven years later, they left the pitch as winners again thanks to Giotto Morandi's early goal. Thanks to the three points, GC Zurich are now in 8th place, two points behind FC Basel 1893 and three points behind FC Sion and the Championship Group. Now the next away game follows, on Saturday evening they are guests at Schützenwiese. Of the last three games in Winterthur, they were beaten twice and won one game.

The team from Eulach started the new season with a 1:0 home win against FC St. Gallen 1879. Since then, however, they have waited for their next full success. Since the 0:0 draw against Yverdon Sport in the third round, they have suffered five successive defeats in the championship. Most recently, they were beaten 2:1 in Ticino, despite being in the lead until the 73rd minute.

Head coach Marco Schällibaum will have the entire squad at his disposal against FC Winterthur, apart from the long-term injuries.

There will be no fan train for Winterthur. Tickets for the guest sector are still available outside the stadium, further information can be found here. If you can't make it to Winterthur, you can follow the game as usual on 86live via live ticker and radio.
