GC ZÜRICH EXTENDS WITH SIMONE STROSCIO

The Grasshopper Club Zürich has extended the contract of 21-year-old Simone Stroscio for an additional two years plus an option for a third year.

Stroscio has gone through the Grasshoppers youth department and already made his first appearance in the Super League in May 2022. In previous seasons, the Swiss-Italian dual citizen was loaned out to FC Schaffhausen in the Challenge League, where he gained valuable playing experience in 44 appearances (3 goals / 2 assists).

Primarily, the 1.76m tall Stroscio plays in the defensive midfield, but he is also versatile and can be used in various positions, making him valuable to the team.

Head coach Stephan Schwarz is convinced of the young player's qualities: «We all have great confidence in Stroscio and are observing a strong development on his part.»
