AWAY AT BASEL

The Hoppers face their last away game of the year on Saturday. The Zurich side will face FC Basel 1893 in the 17th CSSL round.

Thanks to a furious second half and five goals, the Hoppers picked up three points against Lausanne-Sport. Bruno Berner's team has now won three home games in a row. But now the last away game of the year awaits. So far, the team from the Limmat city have only managed to pick up four points away from home. The next chance to score some points comes on Saturday, away at Basel.

Head coach Bruno Berner ahead of the game: "We want to continue our perfomance from last week. We owe ourselves something on the road. Now we have the opportunity to correct that right against Basel."

Since making a change at the head coach position, Basel have won three and drawn one of their five recent league games. Under Celestini, Basel have yet to be beaten at home in particular. During the week, they played their postponed game from the 5th round of the CSSL, in which they secured their first away win of the current season at Lugano.

Head coach Bruno Berner will be without Filipe de Carvalho, among others, for the match against Basel. The winger suffered a muscle injury in the last game against Lausanne-Sport and is out. De Carvalho, Schürpf, Laws, Abels and Rastoder are expected to be available again for the restart of the season in January.

The match can be followed as usual on 86live via live ticker and radio. The match can also be seen on pay TV on blue Sport.
