Once again it was a debutant who scored his first goal in his first game. Canadian Mathieu Choinière scored with his head to make it 1:0, making him the third player after Lee and Kittel to score on his debut this season. In the end, GC Zurich drew 2:2 against Servette and shared the points. Marco Schällibaum's team are now level on points with Yverdon, but were overtaken by Lausanne-Sport and their next opponents, the Bernese Young Boys.
The reigning champions have made a slow start to the new season. Only one win resulted from the first seven games. The Bernese team picked up this win last weekend away at FC Winterthur. The result was a relatively clear 1:4. Patrick Rahmen's team is still waiting for their first victory at home in the CSSL. One defeat and two draws were the result of the first three home games. The Bernese are doing better internationally. There they eliminated Galatasaray and qualified for the Champions League. However, they were clearly beaten 3:0 by Aston Villa in their opening game. Now the team from Bern will host GC Zurich for the first time this season.
Head coach Marco Schällibaum will have the entire squad available against BSC YB, apart from the long-term injuries.
The fan train departs at 17:08 from platform 18. You can find more information about the train at www.sektoriv.ch. If you can't make it to Bern, you can follow the game as usual on 86live via live ticker and radio.
