AWAY GAME IN SION

Before the national team break, the Hoppers head to Valais. Away against FC Sion, the 25th CSSL round is on the agenda.

Thanks to an important 2-1 win against FC Winterthur, the Zurich side returned to winning ways last Sunday. Thus, Giorgio Contini's team extended the gap to the bottom team to five points. The Hoppers want to take the momentum from the victory into the next game. Another important game comes up against Sion on Saturday and with three points they have the chance to distance themselves from the bottom of the league. FC Sion is the team with the worst defence of the current season.

Sion have been waiting since the 15th of October 2022 for a victory in the championship. At that time, they beat FC Luzern 2:0 at home, and since then they have also lost ground in the table. At the moment, the team from Valais is in second to last place, level on points with FC Winterthur. The last five championship games resulted in two points (against Winterthur and Lugano). Of the previous duels between the two teams, both games ended in a draw.

For the match against FC Sion, head coach Giorgio Contini will have to do without Momoh Francis and Tsiy Ndenge due to injury. In addition, striker Renat Dadashov is serving a yellow ban. Otherwise, Contini will have the entire squad at his disposal.

The match can be followed as usual on 86live via live ticker and radio. In addition, the match can be watched for free through the livestream on Onefootball.

After last week's win against Winterthur, we want to repeat our performance in the match against Sion. Especially now before the international break, we want to take the three points back home.
