Last Sunday morning, GC CEO Manuel Huber ran 54 kilometres with the two senior GC players Allan Arigoni and Lars Hunn as well as Dylann Nyangi and Djibril Diani from the U21s and Sára Krisztin from GC's women's team in the "Run against Racism".
The Run against Racism was held on Zurich's Bäckeranlage for the 17th time last Sunday. Together with 453 participants, Grasshopper Club Zurich also joined the field with one female and five male runners.
GC CEO Manuel Huber ran for 50 minutes with the two senior GC players Allan Arigoni and Lars Hunn as well as Dylann Nyangi and Djibril Diani from GC's U21 squad and Sára Kristzin from GC's women's team a total of 54 kilometres and thereby raised 1,521 Swiss francs, some of the funds coming from the team cash register of the first team. "With this commitment, we want to show that Zurich is an open city," said Fabienne Wildbolz of Grasshopper Club Zurich.
The charity run on Zurich's Bäckeranlage attracted a new record attendance with a total of 459 runners and raised some CHF 120,000 in sponsoring and starting fees. The proceeds will be used for non-state social and legal advice for migrants in Zurich in full.
