Four players are available to choose from in August:
Awer Mabil
The Australian national team player was on the pitch for all matches in August. Only in the away game against St.Gallen was Mabil not in the starting eleven. Otherwise, the winger was particularly impressive in the cup match against Regensdorf. Even though the match against the lower-ranked team was clearly won, Mabil's statistics are impressive. With three goals and five assists, Mabil was involved in almost all of GC's goals.
Giotto Morandi
Morandi was in the starting line-up for all of the August games and acted as the pivotal point in Zurich's attacking midfield. Morandi contributed an assist against Sion and gave GC an early lead against Yverdon. The 25-year-old was also on the scoresheet in the Cup, scoring one goal.
Kristers Tobers
Tobers played through all the league games in August, with the centre-back only getting a break against Regensdorf in the Cup. The Latvian was the usual solid center-back in the GC defence and even shone as a goalscorer against Sion. After the equaliser from Sion, Tobers put the Zurich side back in front with a spectacular volley in the second half.
Young-jun Lee
Of two possible matches in August, Lee was in the starting eleven in both. On his league debut, the South Korean did not need long to make his presence felt. It took just 42 seconds for Lee to score his first goal for GC Zurich.
